It’s official! 100 Miles of Wreckage was the biggest mover of the week on the Americana charts. We’re up to #22! Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all of the radio stations who are spinning the record, and to all of the fans requesting our songs. Keep calling in those requests!
We also got to do two very cool in-studio performances last week. The first was with WSM 650-AM in Nashville. They’ve been huge supporters of this band from the very beginning. We kicked off our first national tour at a fan appreciation event that WSM hosted at the incredible Ryman Auditorium, we’ve appeared on a couple of live radio broadcasts on the station, and now they are playing the record like crazy. During our in-studio last week, someone from the Country Music Association was listening … and before we left the station, we’d been booked for the CMA Festival and Fan Fair! And now, we’ve learned that next week WSM is featuring 100 Miles of Wreckage as their Album of the week. Tune in on Monday to hear a track from the album every hour, at five minutes past the hour. You’ll also have an opportunity to win the CD all week long. Thank you, Joe Limardi and everyone at WSM. Y’all rock.
Our second in-studio performance was in Studio B at WNCW in Asheville. This is another station that has literally been there from the beginning. They were the first station outside of East Tennessee to start playing our debut album, Whiskey Angel. Martin Anderson, the program director there, has been a huge supporter and friend – and Roland and Dennis and everyone who helped out on Friday was just fantastic. Thank you!
This week, we’ll get to see our hometown friends over at WDVX in Knoxville. Talk about a station who has supported us … there’s no way to put everything that they’ve done into words. Just know that we love them and we’re looking forward to playing the Blue Plate Special this Friday! It’s a special extended Blue Plate with six bands, including The Travelin’ McCourys and Emmitt-Nershi. We’ll go on around 1:45. If you’re in town, come sit in the audience and hang out with us.
